NEW YORK (Jan. 24, 2025) — Kostelanetz LLP is pleased to announce that Eduardo A. Cukier has joined the firm as a counsel focused on corporate, international, and high-net-worth tax planning and transactions.

Eduardo brings more than two decades of experience in transactions-based domestic and international tax practice. He advises U.S.-based and foreign clients, including companies, governments, investment funds, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals on a wide range of transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, spinoffs, joint ventures, asset acquisitions and divestitures, equity and debt financings, private equity, venture capital, and securities and capital market transactions, among others.

Working out of the firm’s New York office, Eduardo will further augment Kostelanetz’s already strong bench of attorneys, led by partner Ian Weinstock, focused on transactional tax planning, international tax planning and compliance, and estate and trust planning and administration.

Eduardo’s experience includes a sophisticated international perspective, cultural awareness, and a deep understanding of the legal and tax systems, regulatory frameworks, and the business dynamics of deal-making. Eduardo’s clients hail from industries such as consumer goods, commodities, manufacturing, transportation, real estate, banking and financial services, energy, and technology, and he provides his clients in the United States, Latin America, and elsewhere around the globe with optimal global tax efficiencies and maximum deal value by limiting and managing the potential tax liabilities and risks of complex transactions.

Prior to joining Kosteleantz, Eduardo was Chair of the Tax Department at Olshom Frome Wolosky LLP and, before that, he practiced at Curtis, Mallet-Provost, Colt & Mosle LLP. Eduardo is a graduate of Columbia Law School and received his B.S. in Finance and International Business from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Eduardo is fluent in Spanish and English.
