NEW YORK (September 4, 2024) — Kostelanetz LLP has been recognized by International Tax Review/World Tax as a top-tier firm for tax controversy in the publication’s 2025 rankings guide. Additionally, four of the firm’s partners have been recognized as “Highly Regarded” tax controversy practitioners.
Both the New York and Washington, D.C. offices are ranked in Tier 1 for tax controversy for those jurisdictions. ITR/World Tax explains that its independent research and guides include “rankings and profiles of the most effective tax practitioners in the world, covering more than 140 jurisdictions located on every continent.”
Kostelanetz LLP has also been shortlisted for the USA Tax Disputes Firm of the Year by International Tax Review for its 2024 ITR Americas Tax Awards, which will be announced later in September. ITR notes that the award is given to “the best overall disputes firm in its jurisdiction based on its record of resolving disputes and court wins across all tax fields.”
In addition, four partners have been recognized as “Highly Regarded” by ITR/World Tax, including:

ITR/World Tax states that their “Highly Regarded” rank denotes “[p]ractitioners who are highly regarded by their peers and the wider market and who possess a strong track record in dealing with significant matters.” The “Woman in Tax Leader” designation recognizes women who are “leading practitioners in their field.”
