During her time at Penn, Maggie was heavily involved in the classical studies community, working as editor-in-chief of Discentes, the classical studies undergraduate publication, as well as being co-chair of the Classics Undergraduate Advisory Board. For her classical studies senior thesis, she wrote a paper titled “I Contain Multitudes: Identity Construction in Apuleius’ Apologia 24,” which analyzed a Roman North-African author’s construction of their racial and ethnic identity in a legal case. Outside of her academic interests, Maggie played violin in the Penn Symphony Orchestra and was a member of the pit orchestra for Penn Singers. She has worked at the Morgan Museum and Library in New York, as well as at the Penn Cultural Heritage Center in the Penn Museum, where she developed an interest in the protection of cultural heritage.
Maggie is originally from Orlando, FL. In her free time, she enjoys reading books, visiting cultural institutions, and taking long walks around the city.
