Tyler Dorsey graduated Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude from Spelman College in May of 2026. She majored in English with a focus in Literary and Textual Studies and graduated with departmental honors and Honors with Distinction as a member of the Ethel Waddell Githii Honors Program.
During her time at Spelman, Tyler served on several Executive Boards. She was a Dovey Johnson Roundtree Scholar, Vice President of Spelman's Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, and a Pre-Law Fellow at Duke University School of Law. She served as a Delegate for Spelman's On the Hill Initiative, where she lobbied on Capitol Hill in favor of restorative justice practices in education and the elimination of policies contributing to the disproportionate rate of suspension and expulsion among minority students. She also served as a Quarterman Keller Fellow within the Social Justice Program where she researched and advocated for the implementation of reparations and restorative justice. Outside of Spelman, Tyler interned with Representatives in the U.S. Congress, the City of Atlanta's Law Office, and Big Law Firms. She also spent her time mentoring young girls in Atlanta.
Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Tyler enjoys reading, frequenting coffee shops, and spending time with loved ones.
