Overview
Samidha Mishra graduated magna cum laude from the dual degree program between Columbia University and the Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po) in May of 2026, earning B.A. degrees in Political Science and in Politics and Government, along with minors in Statistics and Law. She was a Senior Marshal, as well as a member of the Columbia University School of General Studies Honor Society, the National Political Science Honors Society, and the Dean’s List.
Throughout her college experience, Samidha was deeply engaged in campus activities—from working as a Foreign Policy writer at Sciences Po’s Sundial Press, to being a Senior Editor at the Columbia Political Review. Professionally, Samidha has worked as a Legal Intern at the New Teacher Project and a Policy Consultant at the New York City Department of Education. In her third year, Samidha wrote her thesis entitled “Between Policy and Practice: An Ethnographic Look at Refugee Education in the United States.” Drawing on experience volunteering with the International Rescue Committee and insights gained through a transnational education, she examined the implementation of refugee education policies in the United States and the gap between policy objectives and lived realities.
