Hannah Ambinder joined Kostelanetz LLP in 2025 after receiving her J.D. from Harvard Law School.
While in law school, Hannah served as Executive Director of the Harvard Prison Legal Assistance Project, a student practice organization which provides legal representation to people incarcerated in Massachusetts state prisons and jails at disciplinary hearings, parole board hearings, classification hearings, and in commutation petitions. Hannah also participated in the Criminal Justice Institute, a law school clinic in which she represented indigent defendants in criminal district court, and the Capital Punishment Clinic, a clinic through which she interned for the Philadelphia Capital Habeas Unit performing appellate advocacy for individuals sentenced to the death penalty.
During summer 2024, Hannah interned at the Office of the Rhode Island Public Defender. During summer 2023, Hannah interned in the Chambers of the Honorable Jed S. Rakoff, Federal District Judge for the Southern District of New York.
Prior to attending law school, Hannah worked as a paralegal as part of Kostelanetz LLP’s Pre-Law Paralegal Program from 2020 to 2022.
Hannah received her B.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University in May 2020, with minors in Law & Society and Crime, Prisons, Education & Justice. While at Cornell, Hannah volunteered extensively in New York state prisons and juvenile facilities.
