Bryan C. Skarlatos will present at the Practicing Law Institute's comprehensive three-day conference, Tax Strategies 2026, in New York City on October 20, 2026. Virtual attendance options and continuing education credits are available.

The conference will focus on several nuances of M&A transactions, reorganizations, joint ventures, acquisitions, and tax strategies for cross-border acquisition and restructuring transactions.

Bryan's session, “Balancing Tax Planning, Advocacy, and Professional Ethics: The Rules That Every Corporate Tax Advisor Should Know,” takes place October 20, 2026, from 4:45 to 5:45 p.m. Eastern. The session will focus on the ethical issues that arise in the corporate tax planning process and judicial doctrines, such as the ABA Model Rules of Professional Conduct and ethical standards outlined in Circular 230 and the Internal Revenue Code, and how practitioners and their clients can avoid common pitfalls and criminal and civil penalties in tax planning engagements. Bryan will be joined by S. Starling Marshall of Crowell & Moring LLP.
