The session will focus on the ethical issues that arise in the corporate tax planning process and judicial doctrines, such as the ABA Model Rules of Professional Conduct and ethical standards outlined in Circular 230 and the Internal Revenue Code, and how practitioners and their clients can avoid common pitfalls and criminal and civil penalties in tax planning engagements.
