Andy Weiner will present a session at the NYU School of Professional Studies (SPS) Federal Real Estate & Partnerships Tax Conference, which takes place June 5-6, 2026, at the Grand Hyatt in Washington, D.C. Attendance is in person only, and continuing education credits are available.
Andy’s session, “Nuts and Bolts of a BBA Partnership Audit,” will take place on Friday, June 5. The session will discuss the nuances of partnership audits under the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2015 (BBA). Topics will include how the IRS implements BBA partnership audit rules, considerations associated with whether to make a Section 6226 push-out election, and administrative adjustment requests.

Andy focuses his practice on tax controversies, both civil and criminal, at all stages of the administrative and judicial process. A former U.S. Department of Justice attorney, he has briefed and argued approximately 50 tax cases in the U.S. courts of appeals. He is regent of the American College of Tax Counsel for the D.C. Circuit and a frequent writer and speaker on tax issues. He is also an adjunct professor at American University Washington College of Law.
