Federal Bar Council: Federal Rules Update


Sharon L. McCarthy will speak on a panel at the Federal Bar Council’s Federal Rules Update (CLE) being held on Sept. 29, 2026, from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm Eastern at the Thurgood Marshall United States Courthouse in New York City.

This year’s Federal Rules Update will cover important developments regarding the Federal Rules of Evidence, the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure and the Southern District of New York and Eastern District of New York Local Rules. It will also touch upon U.S. Supreme Court decisions and decisions from the U.S. Courts of Appeal concerning the interpretation of the federal rules.

Sharon will be joined by moderator Harold K. Gordon of Jones Day; fellow presenters U.S. District Judge Jesse M. Ferguson (SDNY), U.S. District Judge Sanket J.
