Kostelanetz partner Melissa Wiley will speak at the Western Region Captive Insurance Conference, which will be held from May 19 to 21, 2025, in Salt Lake City, UT.

Melissa’s session — on Wednesday, May 21, from 10:20 to 11:00 a.m. — is titled “Misunderstandings about Risk Distribution.” In this session, Melissa and her co-panelist will discuss the current approach taken by the Tax Court examining risk distribution in captive insurance cases and the actuarial underpinnings of the concept of risk distribution. Melissa will be joined by Hale Stewart of Higginbotham Insurance.

The Western Region Captive Insurance Conference will be held at the Salt Lake Marriott Downtown at City Creek on 75 S West Temple Street. Only in-person attendance is offered.
