On June 8, 2022, Megan L. Brackney leads a program entitled “Ethical Dilemmas in Representation” for ENGAGE 22, a conference hosted by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Description: This program covers the Circular 230 and AICPA ethics rules that apply to tax practitioners, and how they can help attorneys navigate difficult situations with clients. Brackney discusses the ethical duties when discovering a client’s non-compliance, how to handle a client who does not want to cooperate with an audit, and how to correct false information provided by the client to the IRS. CPE credit is offered for this event.
