Making Tax Policy In An Era Of Artifical Intelligence – Can It Survive The Robots?

June 20 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm EDT

Macdonald “Mac” Norman will participate in a panel titled “Making Tax Policy in an Era of Artificial Intelligence – Can It Survive the Robots?” presented as part of the American Bar Association’s CLE Programming.

Description: While AI is frequently discussed in terms of disruption to private sector activities, its impact on government services has made fewer headlines. But AI may have significant repercussions for policymaking, including for tax. This panel will tackle the challenges confronting tax policymakers as a result of AI-influenced comment letters, industry lobbying, and disinformation campaigns, and whether current policymaking rules remain fit for purpose in such an environment.

Moderator:

  • Jeremiah Coder, Revenue Jersey

Panelists:

  • Macdonald “Mac” Norman, Kostelanetz LLP
  • Adrienne Griffin, Branch Chief, Procedure & Administration Branch 2, IRS Chief Counsel
  • Alexandra Minkovich, Baker McKenzie
