January 9 - January 10

Kostelanetz partner Caroline Ciraolo is a speaker at the 2025 International Tax Conference taking place January 9-10, 2025, in Miami, Florida.

Caroline’s session, “Defending Your Client in the Age of Fraud Enforcement,” covers tax defense strategies for clients with cross-border activity in the wake of ramped-up IRS enforcement activity. She is presenting with Jeffrey Neiman, a founding partner of Marcus Neiman Rashbaum & Pineiro LLP.

The ITC is sponsored by the Florida Bar Tax Section and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. The conference is designed for tax professionals who focus on international taxation planning and compliance, international tax controversies, and managing multinational clients’ needs.

CLE credit is available. You can learn more about the conference here.

Caroline, a former Acting Assistant Attorney General of the U.S. Department of Justice’s Tax Division, focuses her practice on federal and state civil tax controversies, including representation in sensitive audits, administrative appeals, and litigation, providing tax advice, conducting internal investigations, representing individuals and entities in criminal tax investigations and prosecutions, serving as an expert witness in tax controversy-related matters, and mediating civil tax disputes at the administrative stage and in litigation.
