Caroline D. Ciraolo and Director of Investigations Don Fort recently attended the 40th Cambridge International Symposium on Economic Crime held at Jesus College in Cambridge University. The two delivered keynotes and moderated panel discussions about some of the biggest challenges in financial crime cases today.
On September 3, Don delivered a keynote titled “Embracing Integrity: Safeguarding Global Economies Against Economic Crime” at the opening dinner of the event, and on September 5th, Caroline presented a keynote titled “The Role of U.S. Department of Justice, Tax Division in International Criminal Tax Enforcement.” Caroline also chaired a plenary workshop titled “Aiding, abetting, and assisting – the facilitation of Tax Crimes.”
The Cambridge International Symposium on Economic Crime is designed to bring together the top minds around the world to have frank discussions about current and future trends in enforcement in tax fraud, tax evasion, white-collar criminal defense, internal investigations, government investigations, and other topics related to financial crime.
