Outside the classroom, Vishan worked as a research assistant on the American Political Violence team at the Chicago Project on Security and Threats, investigating the rise of political violence in the US during the summer 2020 protests and the causes and consequences of the January 6th riot at the US Capitol. He also interned at the National Constitution Center in the summer of 2022 where he provided research assistance to the NCC’s podcasts and town hall events. Throughout his four years in college, Vishan also worked part-time as an assistant debate coach at the high school level, coaching students to several national championships.
Vishan grew up in Los Angeles, California. In his free time, he enjoys watching sports, barbecuing, and playing chess. He is a certified notary public in the District of Columbia. Vishan joined Kostelanetz LLP in 2023.
