Kostelanetz LLP represented Summer, PBC, in connection with the City of New York’s expansion of a student loan reduction and college savings assistance program that will be available to all New York City residents.
According to an Aug. 7, 2025, City of New York press release, the program could help City residents “potentially keep $1 billion in their pockets.” The City statement also said that the program could serve “an estimated 1.4 million New Yorkers who have student loan debt or are enrolling in college” and “approximately 1.6 million parents and guardians of college-bound children.”
The Kostelanetz team included Claude Millman, Usman Mohammad, Emily Feng, and Jacob Paikin.
Kostelanetz’s government procurement and contracting team represents both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations in a wide variety of matters, including contract negotiations and disputes.
