Garrett L. Brodeur was featured on a recent Tax Notes Talk podcast, released on September 21, 2023, titled “Cryptocurrency and the Newly Proposed Tax Rules on Digital Assets.” On the podcast, Brodeur discussed recent proposed regulations on digital asset transactions and tax information reporting by “digital asset brokers.” Tax Notes Talk is a weekly, conversational podcast hosted by David Stewart, editor in chief of Tax Notes Today International.
Brodeur’s practice focuses on civil federal and state tax controversies and digital assets. He is an active member of the New York State Bar Association Tax Section and the American Bar Association Tax Section, where he serves as vice chair of the Tax Practice & Technology Committee. Brodeur also writes for Tax Notes, Bloomberg Tax, and the ABA Tax Times on issues relating to tax and digital assets, and regularly speaks as a panelist at conferences for the American Bar Association and International Fiscal Association.
